Stacey Keay
Stacey Keay is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores the language of plant pigment and the quiet intelligence held within natural materials.
As founding director of We Are Woven Studio on the Gower Peninsula, Stacey creates spaces for collective learning and creative exploration. Her workshops and studio practice invite participants to slow down, engage with plant materials directly, and develop a deeper awareness of the relationships that shape both making and environment.
Her work moves between making and teaching, offering a practice that is both contemplative and communal. Through these shared experiences, she seeks to encourage connection to place, to material and to the subtle, evolving rhythms of the natural world.
Her work is rooted in an ongoing enquiry into interconnection, between material and maker, land and process, science and sensory experience.
Through this lens, pigment becomes more than a medium; it acts as a bridge through which ecological, cultural, and embodied knowledge can be experienced and shared.
